New Clermont-Ferrand-Lisbon connection

Ryanair, Europe’s number one airline, is opening its new line linking Clermont-Ferrand to Lisbon for the 2019 summer season from Tuesday 2 April. This line will operate twice a week: on Tuesdays and Saturdays, until the end of October. A new reason to explore Portugal and its forest regions!

Easy access to Lisbon hub will give Auvergne residents the chance to discover a vibrant city, rich in history and architectural treasures. And given that the Lisbon region is also interesting from a forestry point of view, these flights will also let future investors to weigh up their options in a territory where the different crops (cork oak, olive trees, etc.) are all potential sources of income for a safe investment.

For the Portuguese

Evidently, it will also be easier for the Portuguese to come and discover the natural heritage of Auvergne, which this year boasts a new (and very prominent) listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, the Chaîne des Puys.

Cyril Girot, director of Clermont-Ferrand airport, is delighted with this new link between two VINCI Aéroports hubs: ‘This new link is real proof of our network’s strength. It will allow economic and cultural exchanges between the Portuguese capital and the Clermont-Ferrand urban area.”
